Encounters between Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh

See what you think was a one day event organised jointly by the University and the College of Art to celebrate and inspire collaborations between our two institutions. There were four working sessions around the following themes, each inspired by a different mode of collaboration between the visual and other disciplines.
- Provoking, experimenting with and communicating ideas
- Makers, tools and materials
- Art and Life
- Words, Sounds and Spaces
For each session there were some short presentations on existing collaborations, and some pitches of ideas for the future. There were also posters showing work of cross-disciplinary interest.
Our plenary speaker was Professor George Landow, the art historian and hypertext theorist from Brown University.
